Apple Cider Vinegar And 3 Other Remedies For Impotence

If you frequently experience impotence, you’re not alone. One in four men under the age of 40 suffers from impotence. Depending on the cause and severity of your erectile dysfunction, your doctor will most likely prescribe medication to increase blood flow to certain parts of the body. The problem is, these medications often come with side effects ranging between problematic to potentially life threatening. Instead, why not try a natural remedy that can help your impotence without any of the nasty side effects?

What is impotence?

Erectile dysfunction (ED), or impotence, is a condition that prevents a man from maintaining an erection during sex. It may also include reduced sexual desire. If you’ve been diagnosed with ED or impotence and it lasts longer than a few weeks, your doctor may prescribe standard meds such as Viagra, Cialis, Staxyn and Stendra. The side effects and health risks associated with these drugs are wide-ranging, and may include:
  • Blurred vision
  • Muscle pain
  • Redness and flushing
  • Stuffy nose and sinus pain
  • Headache and dizziness
  • Upset stomach and diarrhea
  • Back pain
  • Vision loss
  • Hearing loss
  • Heart attack
  • Painful erections
  • Seizures
If you’re not interested in taking pills, other treatment options for impotence include vacuum pumps, implants and surgery.

Impotence may be a symptom of an underlying condition

Impotence may be a symptom of an underlying condition, like depression. There is no doubt that these medications and treatment options can work. However, it’s important to note that impotence may actually stem from a number of underlying conditions. According to the Mayo Clinic, these conditions may include:
  • Heart disease
  • Emotional distress (stress, anxiety, depression)
  • High cholesterol
  • High blood pressure
  • Substance abuse
  • Smoking
  • Certain medications
  • Injury
  • Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • Prostate cancer (including treatment side effects)
For many men, a physical exam and answering a few questions are all that is needed for a doctor to diagnose impotence. From there you can decide what works best for you. Here are some natural remedies to try:
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has been popularized as a health food and a natural remedy that treats several health conditions. Yet, you’re probably wondering how ACV could possibly help impotence. Although there are no scientific studies to back the claims, some suggest that ACV is one of the best cures for impotence. The reason ACV works is because it treats the underlying causes of impotence such as high blood sugar, weight management and heart disease.
Men who have diabetes are more likely to develop impotence, suggests the Mayo Clinic. Impotence is linked to poor long-term blood sugar control, which damages nerves and blood vessels. ACV can help lower your blood sugar. A study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition has shown that including ACV in a carbohydrate-rich meal lowers blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes.
Obesity can also lead to erectile dysfunction. According to a Japanese study, acetic acid, a main component of ACV, was found to suppress body fat accumulation in animals. Further investigation found that ACV helps lower body weight and mass in people who are obese.
ACV may also help treat heart disease, which can lead to impotence. A study in Researchgatefound that using ACV regularly may help lower blood lipid levels. Lowering lipid levels helps to prevent heart disease. Another study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry showed that ACV could help lower cholesterol. Lowering cholesterol also helps prevent heart disease. By improving the underlying cause, you can treat impotence. In the long run, that may prove to be a better option than simply medicating a symptom.

Panax ginseng for impotence

One way to treat impotence naturally is by taking red ginseng. Not to be confused with American ginseng, panax ginseng or red ginseng is a plant that grows in Korea, northeastern China and far eastern Siberia. The root is used for medicine. It improves thinking, concentration, memory, Alzheimer’s disease and physical stamina. It’s also an effective treatment for impotence.
Researchers reviewed seven studies with red ginseng as a treatment for impotence. Doses ranged between 600 to 1,000 milligrams, three times per day. Evidence suggests that panax ginseng extract may be an effective treatment for impotence because of the compound ginsenosides. Ginsenosides work on a cellular level to improve penile erection. It seems to be most effective for men with high lipids in their blood and metabolic syndrome, according to a study published in Asian Journal of Andrology. Like Viagra and other erectile dysfunction medications, panax ginseng improves blood flow to the penis.

DHEA for impotence

DHEA, short for dehydroepiandrosterone, is a natural hormone produced by the adrenal glands, according to Healthline. It’s found in both men and women, and can be converted to both estrogen and testosterone in the body. Scientists have created a supplement made from wild yam and soy that proves to be promising for impotence.
A study from the New England Research Institute in Massachusetts found that men with impotence were more likely to have low levels of DHEA. Another study found that 50 milligrams of DHEA once a day for six months gave participants the ability to achieve or maintain an erection for satisfactory sexual performance.
DHEA treatment is particularly effective for men who suffer from impotence due to diabetes, according to this research. Impotence commonly affects these men because of hormonal issues as well as diabetic complications, which interfere with blood flow to organs.

Acupuncture for impotence

Researchers have found that acupuncture can improve symptoms of impotence. Acupuncture is a 3,000-year-old healing technique of Traditional Chinese Medicine. According to the Center for Integrated Medicine, acupuncture improves the body’s functions and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific acupuncture points. When used to treat impotence, some studies show positive results.
An earlier study found that out of 16 patients who received acupuncture, 39 percent showed improvement in the quality of erections. They also had restored sexual activity. Another later study reported that 21 percent of patients who suffered from impotence, and who received acupuncture, had improved erections. For those who are afraid of needles, acupuncture is relatively painless. The risks are low when completed by a licensed acupuncturist.
Impotence can be quite worrisome and embarrassing for a man. But if not checked and dealt with in the early stages, it could strain your relationships. Unfortunately, it’s growing more common, likely because of lifestyle choices. Before trying any remedies on your own, speak with your doctor first and obtain a proper diagnosis to rule out any serious underlying conditions.

According to the Kinsey Institute’s 2009 National Survey of Sexual Health Behavior, some 90 percent of men have masturbated by the time they turn 30. And while the act is commonplace, so are misconceptions about health concerns and benefits. Here, with help from health professionals, listed by Taylor Kubota:

ouching yourself is bad for your genitals

Masturbation can be vigorous and seem a little violent but it’s very unlikely that it’ll do any real damage. So long as a man hasn’t had any recent surgeries such as a circumcision, masturbation should be totally safe, says Dr. Ira D. Sharlip, clinical professor of urology at UCSF. It is technically possible to fracture the penis due to aggressive masturbation (and other types of sex) but this injury is rare.

Masturbation won’t impact fertility

Men don’t become completely infertile as a result of masturbation but it can temporarily reduce their fertility. “It takes most men about 12 to 24 hours to regenerate a good sperm count after a previous ejaculation,” says Sharlip. “So if a patient is masturbating very frequently — and by that I mean multiple times every day — that will suppress the sperm count and reduce the chance for fertility.” A lot of self-love can drop sperm counts drastically but the number will bounce back given some time.

Self-stimulation is highly addictive

It is true that some people masturbate in an obsessive way. Similar to compulsive shopping or video game playing, this is a mental health issue. Anyone who is concerned they masturbate too much or that it is interfering with their lives should speak with a mental health professional. Even though masturbation can be a problem for some, just as you wouldn’t warn people to never go shopping, people shouldn’t be afraid of trying out self-stimulation for fear they’ll get addicted. For most people it’s a pleasurable, healthy activity.

Self-stimulation makes people go insane

This is an old myth that falls in line with warnings that masturbation makes people blind or grow hair on their palms. It’s worth mentioning because many experts think masturbation can actually be good for mental health. The Kinsey Institute notes that self-stimulation can be relaxing and help people become more confident in their sexuality.

Masturbation can fix erectile dysfunction

The best treatments for erectile dysfunction are going to come from a medical professional and masturbation is unlikely to be part of the fix. It can, however, be used as a kind of diagnostic test to better understand a man’s ED. If a man is able to maintain an erection while self-stimulating but has difficulty during partnered sex, it’s likely that his ED has a mental rather than physical cause.

It’s a treatment for premature ejaculation

In some cases, particularly among young men, masturbation before sex can help a man last longer in bed. This is because once a man ejaculates, he generally takes longer to do so again. In Sharlip’s experience, however, men who use ejaculation in this way generally do so through partnered sex rather than masturbation.

Masturbation prevents prostate cancer

Two studies in 2003 and 2004 are often brought up as proof that men who ejaculate more have a lower risk of developing prostate cancer. Together, these studies showed that men who ejaculated about 20 times a month reduced their later risk of prostate cancer by over a third compared to men who ejaculated around four to nine times a month. A later study, from 2008, added a caveat: It found that men who were very sexually active in their 20s were at increased risk for prostate cancer — particularly if they masturbated a lot.

It ruins people for sex

Biologically speaking, masturbation can take something away from orgasm. “I think very frequent ejaculation by masturbation could reduce the pleasure of partnered sex,” says Sharlip. This is because the intensity of orgasm can be reduced slightly if it occurs soon after the last one but this scenario applies to any sexual acts that involve climax. Unless you are being stimulated a lot (whether alone or with someone else) you’re unlikely to be satiated for very long.

Sanchez happy to leave future to agent

The Chile international has yet to discuss an extension at the Emirates Stadium, with his current contract entering its final year.

Manchester City and Bayern Munich have been heavily linked with a move for Sanchez, despite Gunners boss Arsene Wenger maintaining that his star player is not for sale.

The 28-year-old is currently on international duty to prepare for the eight-nation tournament staged by the 2018 World Cup hosts, and has instructed his representative, Fernando Felicevich, to deal with his future.

"I'm looking at what my agent is doing," Sanchez told Cooperativa. "For now, I'm focused on the [Confederations] Cup in Russia and trying to do well.

"The truth is that my agent will see to it. He knows and he will sit down with the club to look for the best option for me. I'd like a lot of things but I'm only thinking about the national team."

26 Tiny Things You Need To Start Doing For Yourself This Year

1. Use good-quality moisturizer on your face every morning, every night, or, if you live in a dry, cold climate, both.
2. Unfollow all of the Instagram accounts and Facebook friends that make you feel like shit. Unsubscribe to all of the random-ass e-newsletters that show up in your inbox even though you don’t remember signing up for them.

3. Color. Adult coloring books are becoming increasingly popular because they’re amazing. (Yes, that’s subjective, but you’d be amazed by how relaxed you can feel coloring in a beautiful and intricate page with colored pencils.)
4. Set aside time to just sit by yourself and be silent. Schedule yourself into your day. Use the time alone to meditate, read, breathe, take a bath, or, if you’re really exhausted, to take a nap.
5. Write down what you’re going to accomplish at the beginning of every work day (or the night before, if it will help you sleep better).
6. Be aware of what you’re putting into your body. You don’t need to only ingest health foods, but make a conscious effort to drink a lot of water, and balance out your meals.
7. Save more money. You don’t have to aggressively save every month, but make a conscious effort to give yourself a savings goal, and then try to meet it. At the end of each month, evaluate whether you actually followed through.
8. Dress appropriately for the weather. You don’t need to look like a knockout in a hat, gloves, scarf and parka. You just need to stay warm.
9. Stop to smell the flowers when someone is selling them at your local market.
10. Reading one article per day that you really enjoy.
11. When you talk to your mom, dad, siblings or friends on the phone, actually take the time to tell them what happened during your day. Ask about their day. Don’t spend the entire conversation looking at your work emails.
12. When there are important software updates for your phone or computer, download them when you’re supposed to. You’ll waste less time wanting to throw your phone against the wall because it’s loading so slowly.
13. When someone offers you a bite of their food, say yes.
14. Assess your flaws on a regular basis. Realize what you’re doing wrong. Keep your own behavior in check.
15. But don’t be too hard on yourself. When you’re incredibly harsh on someone, realize that you could’ve approached the situation in a kinder way. When you put in a really hard day of work and not everything goes according to plan, don’t beat yourself up over it.
16. Make popcorn on the stove top.
17. Look nice on days when you have nothing special going on. You don’t always have to dress up for a date, or an important meeting. You don’t need to dress up just for the compliments. Pick a day, and dress up because you wanted to look good.
18. Buy quality ingredients at the grocery store so that you’re excited about the food you’re cooking for dinner. Nothing brightens up a meal like pesto, good bread, or a fresh vegetable.
19. Get a lot of sleep when you’re not feeling well. Stop running yourself into the ground when your body feels weak, you have a bad headache, or you feel a cold coming on. Listen to your body and get into bed. Make yourself some tea. Have some Vitamin C.
20. Listen to comedy in the car, or on the Subway. LOL while no one is watching.
21. Take a workout class you feel completely ridiculous signing up for. Try hip hop, zumba, or kickboxing. If you can’t get a friend to do it with you, just be brave and go alone.
22. Stop showering every day (unless you have really thin hair). It’s better for your skin and your hair if you shower less frequently. You don’t need to grow dreads (though feel free to), but you should try washing your hair every second day.
23. Re: hair care, use the over-ripened avocados in your fridge as shampoo every so often. Your hair really will turn out shiny AF.
24. Smile at little kids. Smile at adults. Stop pursing your lips at strangers who are walking on the wrong side of the street. All you’re doing is giving yourself premature wrinkles.
25. Sit up straight.
26. When you’re listening to someone talk, actually listen. You will get so much more out of your experiences with people if you’re fully engaged, instead of only half-listening while you think about what you’re going to say next.

Plant-Based Compounds can Treat Prostate Cancer

  • Compounds found in plants have anti-cancer properties
  • Turmeric, apple peel, and red grapes contain compounds that prevent the growth of cancer tumors
  • Combining the active ingredients such as curcumin, resveratrol and ursolic acid can be effective in inhibiting cancer growth, finds a new study
Natural compounds found in turmeric, apple peels, and red grapes can thwart the growth of prostate cancer, finds a new research from The University of Texas. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men.

So whenever we are eating a curry, baked apples we are preventing the growth of cancer, said the research team.
For the study, the research team used a novel analytical approach to screening several plant-based chemicals instead of testing a single compound as many studies do. The team studied specific combinations that could shrink prostate cancer tumors.
"After screening a natural compound library, we developed an unbiased look at combinations of nutrients that have a better effect on prostate cancer than existing drugs. The beauty of this study is that we were able to inhibit tumor growth in mice without toxicity," said, Stefano Tiziani, assistant professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences and Dell Pediatric Research Institute at UT Austin.
In the last decade, studies have highlighted the potential therapeutic compounds found in plants, including chemical in foods such as turmeric, apple peels, red grapes and green tea. These compounds reduce the risk of cancer by fighting inflammation within the body. People who have chronic inflammation due to infection, autoimmune disease or conditions such as obesity are at higher risk of developing cancer because of damage to normal cells.
Compounds in Foods can Reduce Prostate Cancer Tumor
Initially, the research team tested 142 natural compounds in mouse models and human cell lines to see which compound inhibited prostate cancer cell growth. They tested the cancer-preventing effects of the compound by testing alone and in combination with another compound.
Some of the active ingredients that were tested on animal models were:

  • Ursolic acid - a natural waxy chemical found in apple peels and rosemary
  • Curcumin - the bright yellow compound in turmeric
  • Resveratrol - a natural compound found in red grapes and berries
"These nutrients have potential anti-cancer properties and are readily available. We only need to increase concentration beyond levels found in a healthy diet for effect on prostate cancer cells," said Tiziani.
The study published online in Precision Oncology demonstrates how the plant-based chemicals work together.
The research team found that combining ursolic acid with curcumin or resveratrol prevented the cancer cells from growing by inhibiting glutamine. The team concluded that the plant-based chemicals blocked the uptake of a nutrient needed by prostate cancer cells with nutrients that are commonly found in the food.

10 Psychology Tricks You Can Use To Influence People

Before we get started, it’s important to note that none of these methods fall under what we would term the dark arts of influencing people. Anything that might be harmful to someone in any way, especially to their self esteem, is not included here. These are ways to win friends and influence people using psychology without being a jerk or making someone feel bad.

10 Get Favors

Trick: Get someone to do a favor for you—also known as the Benjamin Franklin effect. Legend has it that Benjamin Franklin once wanted to win over a man who didn’t like him. He asked the man to lend him a rare book and when the book was received he thanked him graciously.

As a result, this the man who had never wanted to speak to him before, became good friends with Franklin. To quote Franklin: “He that has once done you a kindness will be more ready to do you another than he whom you yourself have obliged.” Scientists decided to test this theory and found that those who were asked by the researcher for a personal favor rated the researcher much more favorably than the other groups did. It may seem counter-intuitive, but the theory is pretty sound.

If someone does a favor for you, they are likely to rationalize that you must have been worth doing the favor for, and decide that therefore they must like you. Aim High

Trick: Ask for way more than you want at first then scale it back later. This trick is sometimes known as the door in the face approach. You start by throwing a really ridiculous request at someone—a request they will most likely reject. You then come back shortly thereafter and ask for something much less ridiculous—the thing you actually wanted in the first place.

This trick may also sound counter-intuitive, but the idea behind it is that the person will feel bad for refusing your first request, even though it was unreasonable, so when you ask for something reasonable they will feel obliged to help out this time. Scientists tested this principle and found that it worked extremely well as long as the same person asked for both the bigger and smaller favor, because the person feels obliged to help you the second time and not anyone else.

8 Names

Trick: Use a person’s name, or their title depending on the situation. Dale Carnegie, the author of How to Win Friends and Influence People, believed that using someone’s name was incredibly important. He said that a person’s name is the sweetest sound in any language for that person.

A name is the core part of our identity, and so hearing it validates our existence, which makes us much more inclined to feel positively about the person who validated us. But using a title, or form of address can also have strong effects, according to the as if principle. The idea is that if you act like a certain type of person, you will become that person, it’s a bit like a self fulfilling prophecy.

To use this to influence others, you can refer to them as what you want them to be, so they will start thinking of themselves this way. This can be as simple as calling an acquaintance you want to be closer to “friend,” or “mate” whenever you see them, or referring to someone you want to work for as “boss.” But be warned: this can come off as very corny.

Trick: Flattery will actually get you everywhere. This one may seem obvious at first, but there are some important caveats to it. For starters it’s important to note that if the flattery is not seen as sincere, it’s going to do more harm than good. But researchers have studied the motivations behind peoples reaction’s to flattery, and found some very important things.

To put it simply, they found that people tend to look for cognitive balance, trying to always keep their thoughts and feelings organized in a similar way. So if you flatter someone who has high self esteem, and it is seen as sincere, they will like you more, as you are validating how they feel about themselves.

However, if you flatter someone who has low self esteem, there is a chance it could backfire and cause them to like you less, because it interferes with how they perceive themselves. That, of course, does not mean you should demean a person of low self-esteem!

Blog Flattery

Trick: Mirror their behavior. Mirroring is also known as mimicry, and is something that some people do naturally. People with this skill are considered to be chameleons; they try to blend into their environment by copying other people’s behaviors, mannerisms and even speech patterns. However, this skill can also be used consciously, and is a great way to make you more likable. Researchers studied mimicry, and found that those who had been mimicked were much more likely to act favorably toward the person who had copied them. Even more interesting was their second find that those who had someone mimic their behavior were actually nicer and more agreeable to others in general—even those not involved in the situation.

It is likely that the reason why this works is that mirroring someone’s behavior makes them feel validated. While this validation is likely to be most positively associated with the person who validated them, they will feel greater self-esteem and thus be more confident, happier and well disposed towards others.

5 Use Tiredness

Trick: Ask for favors when someone is tired. When someone is tired they are more susceptible to everything someone may say, whether it is a statement or a request. The reason for this is that when people are tired it isn’t just their physical body, their mental energy levels drop as well. When you ask a request of someone who is tired, you probably won’t get a definite response, but probably an “I’ll do it tomorrow,” because they don’t want to deal with decisions at the moment.

The next day, they are likely to follow through because people tend to keep their word; it’s natural psychologically to want to follow through with something you said you would do. Offer They Can’t Refuse

Trick: Start with a request they can’t refuse and work your way up. This is a reverse of the door in the face technique. Instead of starting with a large request, you start with something really small. Once someone has committed to helping you, or agreeing to something, they are now more likely to agree to a bigger request. Scientists tested this phenomenon in regards to marketing.

They started by getting people to express support for the rain forests and the environment—which is a fairly simple request. Then they found that once they had gotten them to express their agreement to supporting the environment, they were much easier to convince when it came to buying products that supported rain forests and other such things. However, don’t start with one request and immediately assail them with another. Psychologists found it much more effective if you wait a day or two to make the second request.

Keep Quiet

Trick: Don’t correct people when they are wrong. Carnegie also pointed out in his famous book that telling someone they are wrong is usually unnecessary and does the opposite of endearing them to you. There is actually a way to show disagreement and turn it into a polite conversation without telling someone they are wrong, which strikes to the core of their ego.

This is called the Ransberger Pivot, invented by Ray Ransberger and Marshall Fritz. The idea behind it is pretty simple: instead of arguing, listen to what they have to say, and then seek to understand how they feel and why. Then you explain the common ground that you share with them, and use that as a starting point to explain your position. This makes them much more likely to listen to what you have to say, and allows you to correct them without them losing face.

Repeat Stuff Back

Trick: Paraphrase people and repeat back to them what they just said. One of the most positive ways to influence others is to show them that you really understand how they feel, that you have real empathy for them. One of the most effective ways to do this is by paraphrasing what they say and repeating it back to them, also known as reflective listening. Studies have shown that when therapists used reflective listening, people were likely to disclose more emotion and have a much better therapeutic relationship with the therapist.

This easily transfers over to talking to your friends. If you listen to what they say, and rephrase it as a question to confirm that you understood it, they are going to be more comfortable talking with you. They are also going to have a better friendship with you and be more likely to listen to what you have to say, because you showed that you care about them.

Trick: Nod a lot while you talk, especially when leading up to asking for a favor. Scientists have found that when people nod while listening to something, they are more likely to be in agreement with it. They also have discovered that when someone is nodding a lot in front of them, it is natural for them to do the same. This is understandable because humans are well known at mimicking behaviors, especially those that they consider to have positive connotations.

So if you want to be extra convincing, nod regularly throughout the conversation. The person you are talking to will find it hard not to nod themselves, and they will start to feel agreeable toward what you are saying, without even knowing it.

Use toothpaste on yellow nails.
This usually happens when you let nail polish stay on your nails for very long and when you’ve used cheap nail polish. Whiten them all up by rubbing toothpaste to remove the stains. You can also add a few drops of lemon for extra whitening, it’s a natural bleaching agent. See other uses of lemon with this POST.

Use suntan oil to treat damaged hair.
Here’s another use for that coconut suntan oil you love so much. If your tresses have been damaged from over styling or coloring, you can use this oil to treat it. Rinse your hair with warm water and then with a dollop of suntan oil, rub this on your hair. Wrap it in plastic cling wrap and secure with a towel. Sleep with this on overnight. The next day, wash your hair with baby shampoo (or anything moisturizing) to get the greasiness out.

Protect skin from the pool and the beach.
Don’t you hate the chlorine smell after swimming in the pool and the sticky feel of sea salt on your hair and skin after a dip in the beach? You can help minimize these effects by showering first with non-chlorinated water, which fills your pores and hair follicles. By doing this your hair won’t soak up much more water and then the residues will be easy to shower off.

Treat burns with milk.
This tip is from Katie Wright (thanks Katie!) If you’re burnt badly, first aid treatment could be standing under the shower and pouring canned milk over the burns. It will help pull the heat from the burn until you can get medical treatment.

Hydrate before travelling.
Since when you’re in a plane, you’re much closer to the sun, the proximity lets you be exposed more to the solar rays. Avoid drinking alcohol and salty foods because they are dehydrating. Drink lots of water instead, this will help your skin a lot.

Powder Your Roots
If by any chance you have no chance to jump into the shower and you need to look your best. Say for example you’ve spend the whole night preparing for an important presentation. Get a fluffy makeup brush and dab it onto loose powder and then brush it on the roots of your hair. Shake off the excess. The powder will soak off the grease in your locks.

Cure Calluses with Vaseline or petroleum jelly
It’s very unsightly to see hard calluses on your feet especially when you’ve been wearing closed shoes for a long time. I’ve seen a friend do this. To soften these tough calluses, she puts on petroleum jelly on them and puts on socks before going to bed.

Spot-Treat Smudges
I find cotton tips very usual for this. You can use it on your eyelids if you’ve made a mistake with your eyeliner and for your nails to correct a stray nail polish line.

Soften Your Body with an Avocado
Since avocadoes are natural moisturizers. Mash one up and slather this on your body just before taking a shower. The body mask will do wonders for your skin.

Super-Glue a Nail
Yikes! Accidents sometimes happen and when one of your nails break, you can choose to Super Glue it for the meantime. Add an opaque nail polish to cover the crack. Then when you get the chance to, better to cut it off.

Use Makeup Remover on Stubborn Lipstick
Instead of rubbing vigorously on your lips to remove red or dark lipstick, just dab on a cotton ball with makeup remover instead. This will help your lips from getting chapped and bruised.

Tame Brows with Eye Cream
Don’t you just hate it when there appears unsightly white specks on your brows that look like dandruff?  This means they’re a bit dry, keep them hydrated with rich eye cream.

Use brown sugar to treat dandruff
If you’ve tried all the dandruff shampoos that you can buy and still your dandruff persists, try out this homemade treatment instead. Mix two parts of brown sugar with one part conditioner and then use this on your scalp. Leave on for about 3 minutes and then rinse it off.

Buff with Baking Soda
I’ve laughed at that episode in Friends when Ross went to a self-tanning sauna and got disastrous results. If you find yourself streaking (not glowing) after applying self-tanner (not all of us become experts at the first try), scrub away the unsightly spots with a loofah doused with baking soda.

Brush on Hair Spray
What I hate about hair sprays is that your hair becomes so stiff and the overall look doesn't look natural anymore. For a neat hair trick, spray the hair spray on your hair brush after blow drying it. This way, you’ll still get the effects of the hair spray without making your hair look very stiff.

Boost Body Lotion with Baby Oil
For that shiny leg effect but don’t have any bronzing lotion with you, mix in a little baby oil into your everyday lotion to get the same effect.

Dab Body Oil on a Hangnail
Put on apricot oil, the kind found in health-food stores, to protect cuticles from turning rough and raggedy.

For younger hands, rub lemon and salt
There was one picture I saw before that was posted on Twitter, it was the hands of a celebrity. I was shocked because when I learned who it belonged to, she was only my age. I looked at my hands and they don’t look that old. So ladies, take care of those lovely hands, yes? This homemade concoction will help. Remove dead skin cells by rubbing lemon juice and sea salt on your hands with the aid of a toothbrush.

Freeze Your Eyeliner
I love eyeliners because they perk your eyes right back up. However sometimes they get too soft to be applied. A quick remedy for this will be to stick this into a freezer for 15 minutes.

Use Toothpaste on a Zit
Use just a pea-size amount. Let sit for 15 minutes to absorb the oil so the pimple won't get more clogged, then wash off.  Additional tip from Heyhaie: Don’t use any toothpaste that whitens, the bleach will cause the zit to redden.

Heat Up Your Curler
If you have stick-straight lashes, try blasting your metal eyelash curler with a hair dryer for a couple seconds to heat it up so your lashes bend more easily. And use a waterproof mascara. The formula dries faster than other mascaras, so it sets the curl more effectively.

Use Soap Without Water
You know those fancy bars that are actually too pretty to use? Toss them in your underwear or tee-shirt drawers to make your skin smell delicious. You may also use fabric softener in packets. (Tip from Taysialouise)

Lubricate Your Lashes
An easy way to draw attention to your eyes without putting on a pile of makeup is to comb petroleum jelly lightly through the tips of eyelashes to get a sexy, subtle sparkle. It might feel icky if you put on a lot, so watch how much you’ll rub in.

Steamroll Flyaways
Spray on hair spray, then roll the can over your strands. The round bottle fits the curved shape of your head, locks in the spray, and flattens out frizz.  You can also use a bit of lotion to further tame the flyaway.

Air-Dry Your Curls
Let your hair dry indoors before going out in the cold. Sometimes my curls look best when dried naturally instead of using a blow drier. It’s friendlier to your tresses too.

Press a Tea Bag on Splotches
If your skin is sensitive or just looking irritated and puffy for some reason, steep a bag of green tea for a minute or two, let it cool down, and dab it over your face. The antioxidants in the tea take down inflammation.

Shave with Conditioner
If you’ve ran out of shaving cream, you can use conditioner instead. Yep don’t use that body wash, the moisturizer in the conditioner will help prevent razor burns and will keep your skin smooth.

Amp Shine with Vinegar
Mix one part vinegar with four parts carbonated water, and soak dry hair. Leave on for 15 minutes before you shampoo to lock in shine and combat dullness.

Exfoliate Your Pits
If your underarms start to look dry and flaky, an easy trick is to exfoliate them with a gentle face scrub to keep that skin pretty when going sleeveless.

Customize Your Body Lotion
Instead of shelling out for an expensive perfumed body product, you can make your own by pouring a few drops of fragrance into any scent-free lotion. Rub it on-the scent will last for hours.

"Brush" with Mouthwash
If you're too wiped out after a late night of partying to clean your teeth, rinse with water and mouthwash, then use a dry toothbrush on the area where your teeth hit your gums.

Use egg-whites for eyebags
Dab a bit of egg white on his eye bags. The egg whites will tighten the skin right up. Let the egg whites dry before putting on make-up.

Make an Egg-White Mask
To revive tired, dull skin without hitting the spa table, try this: Crack open an egg in a bowl, separate the yolk, and use the egg whites to make a face mask. The proteins help to heal and restore skin's moisture. Leave it on for five minutes, and rinse off.  A note though, since egg whites tighten the skin and egg yolks moisturize, best not to use the egg white mask on a dry skin.
