Powerful illustrations of faceless characters from Disney, DC Comics and Star Wars

When drawing, non-verbal language expressed by the body is just as important as when we are talking to people. Our body posture and body language can express all sorts of messages, which are crucial when designing or drawing your characters.

Alexis Marcou doesn’t need words, nor faces, to make his drawings say something. In a series ironically called “The Faces”, he presents some of our favorite Disney, Star Wars and DC Comics characters: and none of them have faces!

Even so, his portraits of Disney Princesses, Leia, and Wonder Woman amongst others, are very powerful and visually striking. The poses that he chooses for his illustrations say enough: you can tell that they are true heroes as they are, even without a face!
