5 Simple Steps to Relaxation With Stress Relief Remedies

• Yoga: This is generally accepted to be one of the most complete stress relief remedies widely practiced today. The interaction and combination of mind body and spirit allow you to empty your troubled mind of the daily stresses, whilst having a calming effect upon your system. There are of course potential health benefits associated with this practice including; a positive effect on blood pressure and hypertension.

Furthermore, as you begin to feel better, you will start to attract better-thought patterns into your life whilst radiating this positive energy to everyone around you. You will also achieve greater awareness and higher consciousness over time as you develop and master your technique. If you are new to yoga and wish to join a class locally, check with the ‘British Wheel of Yoga’ in the UK, or indeed your local news/media for experienced guidance.

• Art & Painting: This is one of the most therapeutic outlets for self-expression and creativity I can think of, and it does not matter whether you have any great artistic talent or not. I can remember when I was at school being made to feel useless by our dour art teacher and once receiving 5/100 for a course exam.

How sad is that, it could have put me off for life and it should not have happened! Come on let's just have fun, it is like a revisit to your childhood, and as I have found out you might just have an unrealized talent lying dormant for too long. So get down to your local stationers or arts and crafts shop and release the child in you too, it is a great way to unwind and one of the best stress relief remedies I know!

• Visualization: This is also one of the easiest stress relief remedies to learn, all it takes is a little of your relax time to enter your very own theatre of dreams and visualization. Make yourself comfortable in your favorite chair and slowly focus upon your breathing. Try to breathe deeply for about five minutes and notice how relaxed your muscles feel. This technique will also help to prepare your mind.

When you are relaxed go to the theatre of your mind and imagine a scene where you are sitting in the middle of a wonderful country garden. Allow your senses to appreciate the scent of freshly cut grass and the hypnotic fragrance of flowers all around you. Remember the only limit to this powerful visualization technique is your own imagination. I understand that if you visualize a goal with enough faith and belief attached on a daily basis, the physical must then manifest itself into your life!

• Meditation: As a student of meditation I think this is the most magical and mystical of all stress relief remedies. This ancient practice dates back for thousands of years and the lives of millions of people have been transformed through the discipline of meditation. To help clear your mind of daily stress and negative baggage I recommend basic mindfulness meditation.

A simple and well-known technique is to concentrate on one object in your room or just on your breathing in-out, you can also use the counting technique if you prefer. The objective once again is to clear the daily dross and leave you feeling relaxed and peaceful. A great way to finish the day.

• Massage: Finally why not enjoy a soothing massage. This most natural stress relief remedy has been bringing relief to people for centuries. The important connection is that even if your stress is tied to emotional or mental tension a massage on a physical level can relieve the stress, this is because of the mind-body relationship. And anyway it keeps the fun in your own relationship and the old flames burning just that little a bit longer!

I have a passionate love for all things spiritual and also self-improvement and personal development. This passion was ignited during a very challenging period of my life when affected by serious long term family illness and multiple bereavements I became very stressed. My mission is to help other people to understand that there is a way forward for them too, as well as to pass on any useful tips and strategies for that purpose.

Remove mold from your washing machine to avoid skin infections and respiratory problems!

Mold - this is something we can find in the most unexpected areas of our homes, with the washing machine being number one. You might not know, but exposure to a moldy environment can lead to a variety of health problems, such as sore throat and skin, rigidity of the nose, and respiratory problems like coughing.

A washing machine is the perfect breeding ground for mold. It provides a warm, humid environment for mold to grow. Learning how to get rid of mold from your washing machine isn't that difficult. But if you have any problems you can always call a professional who can clean the machine properly, inside and out.

How to clean mold from your washing machine:

Clean the rubber seal (gasket).

The rubber gasket, also known as the gasket, and it's on the opening of the washing machine. It is placed there to prevent water leakage. You can use a rag or towel and remember to wipe under and around it too.

Weekly cleaning routine: Open the washing machine door and pull open the seal with your fingers. Remove the fabric and hair particles. Then make a solution of hot water and dish soap and spray on the rubber seal. Wipe it with a dry cloth. Repeat if necessary. In the end, make sure the gasket is dry to prevent mold from forming.

Monthly cleaning routine: Thoroughly clean your washing machine with bleach once a month. Add 1 cup of bleach and press the hot cycle button. After it's done, put it on two more hot cycles to remove any bleach residue.

Clean the drum

Use baking soda and white vinegar to clean the drum and remove the odors from dirty clothes and mold. Add 1/3 cup of baking soda to the drum. Fill the detergent tray with 2 cups of white vinegar and set the washing machine on a cleaning cycle. Repeat this mold cleaning at least once a month.

Clean the detergent drawer

Remove the detergent cup and soak it in a solution of warm water and vinegar. Then rinse with washing-up liquid under running water.

Failure to periodically clean the detergent dispenser control panel can cause detergent buildup, causing mold, mildew, and unpleasant odor.

Clean the outside

It's also important to keep the outside of the washing machine clean. Make a solution of hot water, white vinegar, and a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil. Take a clean cotton cloth and wipe the surface of the washing machine with the solution. Make sure to remove any buildup of dust, lint, and hair.

How to Relieve Tired Achy Feet at Home with These Tips

At the end of the day, my feet are often killing me and I’m wondering how to relieve tired achy feet. My feet never really bothered me when I was younger and I’ve had a number of jobs where I was on my feet all day.  For the past several months, I’ve noticed more and more that my feet are tired and uncomfortable at the end of the day.

HOW TO RELIEVE TIRED ACHY FEET

I’d love to slip off for a few hours for a relaxing foot massage at the spa but sadly that’s not going to be happening soon.  If you feel the same way, don’t be discouraged. Here are a few things you can try when you’re wondering how to relieve tired achy feet.

TAKE A BATH

The warm water will soothe away any aches and pains and help improve blood flow to your entire body. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil to the water, close your eyes, and relax away a some of the stress of the day.

SOAK YOUR FEET

Add two tablespoons of Epsom salts into a tub of warm water.  Soak your feet for 15 minutes.   Epsom salts can dry out your skin so make sure you add lotion to your skin afterward. You can soak your feet in a foot bath or simply fill a tub with warm water and soak them that way. I like the foot tubs because you can get them with massaging jets of water. Try these natural rose petal bath salts.

GET A FOOT MASSAGE

If you don’t have someone to give you a foot massage, the next best thing is to give yourself one.  Add some scented lotion and use your thumbs to gently massage the fleshy parts of your heel. A reflexology book will have a lot of great ideas for a foot massage.

PEPPERMINT BODY LOTION

Use a peppermint body lotion on your feet to leave them feeling energized after a long day. Make sure the lotion contains real peppermint oil in it for this effect. After applying lotion, make sure that you slip on a pair of thick socks to help retain the moisture.

SLIP INTO SLIPPERS

As I’ve gotten older, I notice that walking around in my bare feet on hard floors is not all that comfortable anymore. Slipping on a pair of comfortable slippers is a necessity.
