Promposals are all the rage these days. From buying concert tickets to lying down a red carpet for your date, and from promposing at a basketball game to promposing on national television, high schoolers these days are way more creative (or cheesy?) than they were even five years ago. But there’s one promposal that is the sweetest and cheesiest of all…

Carlie Whittman, a 15-year-old girl with down syndrome, has always dreamed of being a princess like Cinderella. Carlie’s big brother’s best friend, Shaedon Wedel, decided that he was going to be the one to make that dream come true.

In a moment that awed the world and lit up Carlie’s life, Shaedon walked up to Carlie at her home with a shirt that said, “I know I’m NACHO typical Dorito but…I’m going to be cheesy and ask: will you go to prom with me?”

Wedel says that the Whittman’s have been like a second family to him, and he just wanted to do something special for them.

“She says she wants to be a princess like Cinderella and it would mean everything to make her feel that way. I am very excited to go to prom with her,” Carson says. “My main goal is to really give her everything she deserves. I want her to get that Cinderella Prom Dress and prom that she wants. She honestly deserves it so much.”

The surprises don’t just stop with the promposal though. After the Internet heard about Shaedon’s one of a kind promposal, one family in Wisconsin raised money to buy Carlie a Cinderella-esq dress, tiara, and wand for her to wear.

But why the Doritos, the Internet wanted to know. “I decided on the Doritos theme because I have known her for 7 years and there has not been a day that I have not seen her eat Doritos,” Shaedon said. “She absolutely loves them!”

Well, after hearing about their part in such a beautiful moment of friendship, Doritos decided that they wanted to play a part in Shaedon and Carlie’s prom as well. So what did they do? They sent not one but TWO helicopters – one for Carlie and Shaedon to fly to prom in and one for Carlie’s brother and his date.
