I usually make smoothies or fresh drinks out of it.
I knew it’s packed with many nutrients and does well for my body, but I had no idea it could do all those things.
There are lots of studies that cover the pomegranate field and its job in the world.
In 2000, a study was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition saying that the pomegranate’s juice has anti-atherogenic effects. It can protect you against the formation of fatty deposits within your arteries. The evidence was connected to the anti-oxidative properties of this fruit.
Another study from 2004 says that the juice of pomegranate reverses the carotid artery stenosis by 30%. The research was conducted by Israeli scientists on a small group of patients who were already diagnosed with carotid artery stenosis. 10 patients were given juice of this fruit and showed unbelievable results.
The third study is from 3 years ago. In 2013, the journal of Atherosclerosis published a study related to this fruit. It was conducted on mice that were given a juice of pomegranate extract for curing genetic susceptibility towards spontaneous coronary artery blockage. Two weeks were enough for the researchers to conclude the atherosclerotic features were reduced.
All of these studies prove that the pomegranate is healthy and important for your body and health.
The scientific evidence confirms everything we already knew about it. With that being said, I can now share with you all of its benefits.
After the benefits, I will show you my favorite smoothie recipe. It features pomegranate.
