Evasi0n workaround
Mac OS X:
- On your Mac, go to your “Applications” folder.
- Now navigate to the “Utilities” folder.
- Launch "Terminal".
- Type "sudo nano /etc/hosts" (without quotes) and hit return.
- Enter your password. You won’t see anything change on-screen when you type your password; this is normal.
- Use the down arrow key to scroll to the bottom and enter a new blank line without a # at the beginning.

- Exit the nano editor by pressing Ctrl+X, followed by Y, and return.
Windows:
- Click Start, followed by Programs and Accessories.
- Right-click Notepad and choose “Run as Administrator”. On Windows XP, if your account is an administrator, you can simply click to open Notepad, otherwise you’ll need to choose “Run As...”
- Click “Open” from File menu.
- Browse to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc.
- In the dropdown menu that says “Text Documents (*.txt)”, select All Files.
- Double-click on “hosts”. (or if you use Internet Connection Sharing, "hosts.ics")
- Use the down arrow key to scroll to the bottom and enter a new blank line without a # at the beginning. .

- Click “Save” from the File menu. Make sure the file type is "all files (*.*)" and not .txt (or if you use Internet Connection Sharing, ".ics")
- If Windows complains that the file is in use by another program, temporarily disable your antivirus and try again.
- Close Evasi0n if open. Open Evasi0n and jailbreak.
- After jailbreaking, repeat above steps but delete the line you added.
