Healthy Habits Saved the Life of this Dieting Dog

Meet Denis. He is the dieting dog who lost 79% of his body fat over a year.

He is a 6-year-old dachshund. When his new best friend, Brooklyn Burton, saved him from his previous owners, Denis was overweight. He weighed unbelievable 25.4kg.

This brave dog’s previous diet was full of human food and fast food including pizza and burgers. I can’t figure it out how someone will give something like this to a dog.
In an interview for the Scoop, Brooklyn said:
I controlled what he ate and exercised him and the pounds just melted off. Fancy that — just like humans, it’s all diet and exercise

Following this routine process of losing weight, Denis lost 20kg. The fight wasn’t over. There was too much loose skin that was causing him problems.
Three surgeries removed his excess skin. This made his walking easier.

One important thing about the whole process brought tears to my eyes.
Strangers, who were inspired by the story, covered most of the costs for these surgeries. As an act of kindness, Burton decided to open up the Denis Legacy Fund, which will help fat cats and dogs survive.
Take a look how Denis, the dieting dog, looked before and how he looks now.

Is your dog obese? Try this fresh approach. It could change his life.

Sometimes dogs can be really secretive. You know what I’m saying?

They do something that seems illogical to us. Every dog’s movement means something.
Like humans, dogs also have their own way of communicating with each other.
If you want to understand what they mean by that strange noise, you need to listen closely and relate to it.
All those “happy” movements could mean something else. They could appear because of nervousness, aggression, or apprehension.
This chart reveals everything you didn’t know about them. It will answer every question you have about their personality.
Here is how you can read your dog’s behaviors:
