I Bet You Haven’t Heard About These Healthy Peanut Butter Treats

I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was perfect. The weather was a little bit off, but we’ll get used to it.

We are now back to our daily activities. I missed you guys. That’s why I’m here to show you what I did this weekend.
While I was shopping for the most needed stuff for my trip, I noticed the last peanut butter pack just waving at me. I knew I would cook something with it.
I forgot that I had it until Sunday morning when I was making breakfast for my kids. I decided to surprise them with something they never had the chance to try.
I mean, both of them know the taste of peanut butter, but these recipes are just secret.
I’m kidding. Most of you probably made them. The others who haven’t heard about these healthy peanut butter snacks will be surprised by their taste.
My kids enjoyed an after-breakfast snack and wondered what I put in there.
I made the peanut butter rocky road treats. If only I had a camera at the moment to catch their expression. It was priceless.
Here are three recipes you can try:

Peanut Butter Popcorn

Ingredients
  •      8 cups of popcorn
  •      ½ cup of honey
  •      Optional: ½ cup of brown sugar (I made them without sugar)
  •      ½ cup of peanut butter
  •      ¾ teaspoon of salt
Instructions
  •      Put the popcorn in a large bowl
  •      Take a waxed paper and line your baking sheet
  •      Boil honey (and sugar) in your saucepan until the sugar is dissolved
  •      Cook this mixture until foamy (3 minutes)
  •      Add the peanut butter and salt. Stir until smooth
  •      Put the results in the sheet and let the popcorn cool down

Peanut butter is an excellent addition to your diet. Somehow I don’t like it much, but I know to cook with it. My kids love it!
My kids say everything is smoother and tastier when peanut butter is involved.
Do you agree?
Invite your friends over and make snacks for them. Wait until you see their face. Share this and see who is coming.
