People are now using $0.99 IKEA bags to make clothes, and they look like they cost $1,000+

After a $.99 design by IKEA inspired a Balenciaga look-alike that cost 3000 times more, others are now seeing the oversized blue plastic bag as their muse to create different wearable designs. It all started when the internet noticed that Balenciaga’s Arena Extra-Large Shopper Tote Bag, which costs $2,145, looks a lot like IKEA’s Frakta tote bag which costs less than a dollar.
I mean, exactly alike.

Who wore it better? Balenciaga or IKEA?
IKEA even hired a marketing company to create a campaign making light of the resemblance. Now the rest of the fashion world has become obsessed with IKEA’s big blue bag.
They’re turning them into all sorts of things, some of which are more practical like backpacks…
